$220 per 10 week session

 

 

Boys Level 2 is for students who have mastered the list of skills in Level 1. Children will learn properly executed cartwheels, round offs, front handsprings and front flips.

Goals of the Class

This class is for boys who have completed the list of requirements to move up to level 2. Skills that are going to be covered on the events are a natural progression of the skills that are learned in level 1. Children will learn properly executed cartwheels, round offs, front handsprings and front flips.  Conditioning focuses on the development of the muscle groups in the upper body.  Each weekly class is 90 minutes long and includes a 10 min. warm up, conditioning, and two events.

Pike sit touch toes

Vault

Straddle over mini vault

 

Bars

Pull up pull over (on pit bar with coach)

Cast back hip circle

Squat onto 12” off the floor bar

Straddle cast, put feet on the bar

 

Rings

5 Swings backward flip dismount land on feet

 

Mushroom

1 Circle

 

Parallel Bars

5 swings (above bars)

5 swings dismount over a bar on a back swing (land on feet)

Backward straddle throughs

2 dips (all the way down)

 

Floor

Cartwheel

Round off

Front handspring

Back bends

Handstand hold

20 feet run, front tuck flip off a spring board into pit

 

Trampoline

5 jumps with arm circles

Seat drop, straddle jump, full twist (routine)

Seat drop, doggie jump, stomach to feet (routine)

Front flip into pit

 

Conditioning

Handstand on the floor

10 second tucked hold hanging on a bar

10 push ups (on beam with good form)

5 pull ups (may be spotted)

5 second hold on baby rings

5 second pull up hold

12' rope climb with legs
