Peace.love.swap is an organization on a mission to keep perfectly reusable items out of landfills and to donate to local charities by producing fun, affordable, family friendly swaps on an ongoing basis. Participants bring their gently used, clean baby, toddler, kid and maternity items to the swap and are able to pick up items that they need. This is an Earth Friendly opportunity to purge clothing, books, toys, etc. that your child has outgrown and get the next size up. Peace. love. swap charges $5 to participate in the swap and it is free for those who can volunteer at the event. HOH charges $10 for Open Gym time ($5 if you are a swap participant) which will occur during the swap - a great way to keep children occupied while parents pick out items. Everything left over at the end of the event will be donated to the Twice Loved, an organization that gives much needed items away to those less fortunate.

This quarter the swap will take place on Sunday, June 10th. Participants can drop off items between 11:00 and 12:00 pm. Peace.love.swap would like the items washed before drop off and all clothing items should be on hangers except the size 0 – 18 months pants, shorts and skirts. If you don’t have hangers there will be some at the swap and you may hang your items up when you get here. The swap will take place from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. HOH will run an Open Gym from 11:30 pm to 1:30 pm. For safety purposes Open Gym will be capped at 40 children and, as always, participation is on a first come, first serve basis.
